Characteristics of the Deity: The dark-complexioned tall body of the idol and its head featuring large eyes at the top. A long red tongue protruding from the mouth.
Unique Tradition of Idol Making: For many years, before the puja every year, the old idol is broken down and a new idol is crafted. Each time it is constructed, the height of the idol is increased by exactly 'the measure of a grain of paddy' compared to the previous year. Through this gradual increase, the height of the idol has currently reached 26 cubits.
Special Timing for Kali Puja: Although Kali Puja is generally held on the new moon of the Ashwin-Kartik months, the worship of Mother Chhawali Shmashan Kali is held on any Saturday in the month of Falgun (determined based on the tithi and position of the moon).
Uniqueness: Organizing such a traditional Kali Puja in the month of Falgun is rare in other regions of Bangladesh.

How to get there
Chhawali village can be reached by bus or CNG auto-rickshaw from Tangail or Mirzapur. After getting off at the Natiyapara bus stand in Mirzapur on the Dhaka-Tangail highway, proceeding 1 kilometer back leads to the route to Chhawali (near the Mohera Police Training Centre).
