The Sri Sri Kriparamayee Kali Temple, located in Jaydebpur Bazaar of Gazipur Sadar, is an extremely ancient and historical Hindu temple in this region. The temple was established in 1313 Bengali era by Shrimati Kriparamayee Devi, the sister of the Bhawal Raja, and has since been known as the Sri Sri Kriparamayee Kali Temple. To local Sanatan Hindus, it is considered an extremely sacred and spiritually awakened temple. Around 2013, the original deity was stolen. It is said that the idol mysteriously rose from the ground. However, the lineage of those who stole the idol came to an end.
