Terms of Service

By accessing or using MandirBD, you agree to these Terms of Service and the policies linked from them. These terms form an agreement between you and MandirBD for the website, Android app, APIs made available to the client, and related features.

If you do not agree, do not use the service. Some features may have additional instructions or rules; if they conflict with these terms, the feature-specific rule applies only to that feature to the extent of the conflict.

You must have legal capacity to accept these terms. If you are under the age at which you may independently consent in your location, a parent or legal guardian must authorize and supervise your use of account and contribution features.

You may not use MandirBD if applicable law prohibits you from receiving the service or if we previously suspended you for serious abuse and have not authorized your return.

• Provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
• Protect your password, phone, OTP, Google account, and authenticated device; never ask another person for their OTP.
• Use one person's identity only with that person's authority and do not impersonate a mandir, committee, priest, volunteer, or other user.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or a security problem.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account to the extent permitted by law. We may require re-verification, refuse a username or profile, or limit an account to protect users and the service.

MandirBD combines information from contributors, temple representatives, public sources, mapping services, and our reviewers. We aim for respectful and useful information, but listings may be incomplete, outdated, disputed, translated imperfectly, or affected by local practice.

Confirm opening hours, routes, accessibility, rituals, facilities, contacts, fees, festival arrangements, and other important details directly with the mandir before relying on them. You may suggest a correction with a reliable source.

Verified and claimed listings

A verified or claimed badge means MandirBD completed the checks described for that badge at that time. It is not a guarantee, endorsement, certification of every fact, or promise about the conduct of a mandir or representative.

Panjika information may include Bengali, Sanatani, Vikram Sambat, and Gregorian dates, tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, sunrise and sunset, fasting, festivals, and auspicious or inauspicious intervals. Calculations can vary by location, tradition, school, source, ephemeris, and sunrise convention.

Offline Panjika data is a cached copy and may not include later corrections. Device time, time zone, location, delayed synchronisation, or provider availability can also affect what is shown.

You keep ownership of content you create. When you submit content, you confirm that:

• The information is honest and, to the best of your knowledge, accurate and supported by a reliable source where appropriate.
• You own the content or have permission to submit and publish it, including permission from identifiable people and any relevant mandir authority.
• The content does not violate privacy, copyright, trademark, confidentiality, cultural or religious dignity, or any applicable law.
• Photos are relevant, safe, and not deceptive; sensitive documents are submitted only through the designated non-public verification process.

You grant MandirBD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, validate, scan, resize, crop, convert, translate, adapt for accessibility or layout, display, distribute, and promote the submitted content for operating and improving MandirBD. This licence continues for accepted public content even if you close your account, but you may request review or removal where you have a valid right.

We may show your chosen contributor credit, edit formatting or translations, merge duplicate facts, reject a submission, or ask for sources. Submission does not guarantee publication or payment.

• Submit false temple records, fabricated claims or reviews, misleading locations, spam, scams, or manipulated evidence.
• Harass, threaten, shame, discriminate against, or incite hatred or violence toward a person or community, including on religious, caste, ethnic, gender, or other protected grounds.
• Upload unlawful, sexually exploitative, extremely graphic, privacy-invasive, defamatory, infringing, malicious, or dangerous content.
• Attempt unauthorized access, evade rate limits or integrity checks, introduce malware, probe vulnerabilities without written authorization, or disrupt the service.
• Scrape, bulk-download, republish, sell, or train automated systems on protected MandirBD content except as lawfully permitted or authorized in writing; normal search-engine indexing and personal sharing are allowed.
• Misuse phone OTP, notifications, support, donations, claims, check-ins, ratings, reports, or contributor tools, or collect another person's data without authority.

We may use automated checks and human review to detect duplicates, unsafe uploads, abuse, inaccurate information, and policy violations. We may edit formatting, request evidence, limit visibility, reject, remove, restore, or preserve content, and may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts.

We are not obligated to pre-screen every submission and cannot guarantee immediate action. If you believe content is inaccurate, infringes rights, or creates a safety risk, report it with enough detail for a fair review. Repeated or deliberately false reports may themselves be restricted.

A person claiming a mandir listing must be authorized by the mandir, trust, committee, or lawful governing body and must provide truthful, current evidence. Applying does not transfer ownership of community facts or give unrestricted control over the listing.

We may verify identity and authority, contact relevant parties, refuse or revoke a claim, preserve a record of the review, and resolve competing claims using the best evidence available. A claimant must use access for the mandir's legitimate administration and respect contributor and visitor privacy.

Festival and event dates, food or restaurant listings, routes, map pins, external contacts, prices, availability, and accessibility information may be provided by organizers, businesses, contributors, or third-party services and can change without notice.

A listing or link is not an endorsement, guarantee of religious suitability, food safety, quality, legality, accessibility, or availability. Verify material details directly and use appropriate judgment before travelling, attending, purchasing, eating, or sharing information.

Donation and payment features appear only when enabled by MandirBD's backend. If disabled, no user should rely on a visible reference as an offer to accept payment. When enabled:

• SSLCommerz, banks, card networks, or mobile financial services may process the transaction under their own terms, eligibility rules, fees, and security checks.
• You must provide accurate payment information, have authority to use the payment method, and review the recipient, amount, and purpose before confirming.
• A payment receipt or MandirBD record is not automatically a charitable tax certificate, and MandirBD does not promise any tax deduction or spiritual outcome.
• A mandir-directed payment is intended for the identified recipient or purpose, but processing delays, disputes, compliance checks, or recipient arrangements may affect settlement.

The MandirBD name, logo, application design, original text, software, structured compilation, and other materials we create are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. These terms permit personal, non-commercial use of the service; they do not transfer our intellectual property to you.

Religious traditions, public facts, mandir names, and third-party materials remain subject to their respective status and rights. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact us with identification of the work, the disputed material, your authority, and a reliable way to reach you.

MandirBD depends on or links to services such as Firebase, Google, Sentry, Microsoft Clarity, Cloudflare, Brevo, SSLCommerz, OpenStreetMap, YouTube, app stores, and external websites. Their services may be unavailable, changed, or governed by separate terms and privacy practices. MandirBD does not control third-party sites or accounts.

We may add, change, pause, restrict, or discontinue a feature, platform, data source, or integration, including through backend feature flags. We may perform maintenance and cannot promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently offline availability.

You are responsible for maintaining compatible devices, internet access, backups of your original submissions, and current app versions. Cached data may be incomplete or outdated until the service synchronizes.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, MandirBD is provided on an “as available” basis without warranties that every listing, calculation, translation, route, third-party offer, or user submission is complete, accurate, safe, or suitable for a particular purpose.

MandirBD provides general directory, cultural, devotional, and informational material—not professional religious, legal, medical, financial, travel, food-safety, or emergency advice. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

To the extent permitted by law, MandirBD and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from reliance on user or third-party content, service interruption, unauthorized access, a third-party transaction, or conduct outside our reasonable control.

You may stop using MandirBD at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, serious or repeated violations, harm to a mandir or person, fraud, or service discontinuation. Where appropriate, we may give notice or an opportunity to clarify or appeal.

An authenticated user may request account deletion through Delete my account.

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without overriding consumer or other mandatory protections that apply to you. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern fairly; unresolved disputes may be brought before a competent court or authority in Bangladesh.

We may update these terms for service, safety, legal, or operational changes. We will post the new version and effective date and provide proportionate notice of material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised terms, except where applicable law requires another form of consent.

If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. These terms, together with incorporated policies and feature-specific rules, are the agreement concerning your use of MandirBD.
