Biography

Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose was a pioneering Bengali physicist, biophysicist, botanist, and early writer of science fiction. He invented the crescograph to measure plant response to stimuli and made highly significant contributions to the development of radio and microwave optics. In 1917, he founded the Bose Institute in Kolkata.
