Shri Shri Pundarika Dham, located in Mechla of Hathazari Upazila, Chittagong, is an important pilgrimage site of the Gouriya Vaishnava tradition. This place, steeped in the memory of Pundarika Vidyanidhi, is known by his name. In religious belief, he is revered as an incarnation of Vrishabha Vana Maharaaja, and hence the Dham is also called ‘Radha Rani's father's house’ among devotees. It represents a tradition of faith, not a simple historical account of its founder. In the religious literature of the Dham, there are references to Pundarika Vidyanidhi's Bhajan Kutir, Natmandir, Radha Kund, Shyam Kund, Girigobardhan Parikrama Sthal, Kirtan Manch, and Prabhupad Mandir. Alongside the worship of Radha Krishna, the Dhameshwar Shiva Mandir is also described.

History
According to the description of Chaitanya Sandeśa's dhāma, during the modern restoration and development phase, various Vaishnava acharyas arrived here in the 1970s. The account records that in the 1981 Lakshmi Puja, ISKCON assumed the duty of seva puja, and in 1982 the establishment of Radha‑Krishna's vigrah is noted. These years represent events of modern management and vigrah establishment; they were not used as the dhāma's original founding year.
The subsequent development details include the renovation of Bhajan Kutir, Nat Mandir, Kund, Parikrama Path, and the establishment of religious gatherings. The heritage list of the Hatkhara Upazila administration also mentions the fair of Mechhel Pundrikī dhāma.
How to get there
From Chattogram city: Go to Oxygen Mor, then take a Hathazari-bound bus or CNG autorickshaw to Hathazari Bazar/bus stand. For the final leg to Mekhal, arrange a local CNG autorickshaw or rickshaw and ask for ‘Mekhal Pundarik Dham’. Before boarding, confirm that the driver will take you to the temple entrance and agree on the fare.
From another district: Travel to Chattogram by bus or train, take local transport to Oxygen Mor, and follow the route above.
By private or hired car: Approach Mekhal via Hathazari and follow the temple's map pin. For the final approach, show the driver plus code FRXH+85 Mekhal or coordinates 22.4983529, 91.8278949.
