Sri Chaitanya Temple, Dhaka Dakshin Union, Golapganj, Sylhet

Address: Mishrapara, Dhaka South Union, Golapganj, Sylhet.

History: This is the ancestral or paternal residence of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the proponent of Vaishnavism. In the mid-18th century, the temple was established here by the initiative of a person named Golab Rai. Later, the temple complex was renovated with government initiatives including the Sylhet District Council.

Establishment: Currently there are four beautiful temples here.

Special festivals and fairs: Every year in the Bengali months of Falgun or Chaitra, a month-long festival, fair, sankirtan, and special worship are organized here. Thousands of Hindu devotees and tourists from India and abroad gather at this festival and fair.
