Situated on a sprawling 10-acre campus along the Chitra River in Goranalua village of Shibpur Union, Chitalmari Upazila, Bagerhat, the Bangladesh Seba Ashram is a prominent spiritual and cultural center. Founded in 1979 by Srimat Acharya Bibekananda Goswami, the ashram features grand shrines, meditation quarters, and prayer halls. It draws countless devotees from home and abroad every year in the month of Falgun to celebrate a 3-day annual festival featuring Namayajna, spiritual discourses, devotional music, and kirtan during Dol Purnima.

History
In 1979 CE, Srimat Acharya Bibekananda Goswami established the Bangladesh Seba Ashram on a 10-acre property along the Chitra River in Goranalua village, Shibpur Union, Chitalmari Upazila. Founded by the revered Acharya, this institution is one of 48 such ashrams in Bangladesh (with 5 in India) and has long served as a vital center for spiritual practice, religious education, and community service in the region.
How to get there
From Bagerhat or Gopalganj, travel by road to Chitalmari Upazila headquarters, then take an auto-rickshaw or rickshaw to Bangladesh Seba Ashram in Goranalua village of Shibpur Union.
